We provide in-depth lectures about Rome and various other cities in Italy during visits to the various sites and walks thtrough the city. We are professionally-trained accademics who know Italy inside and out from the perspective of our areas of specialization. We are not tour guides; the understanding you will receive from us goes far beyond what a tour guide normally provides.

Services provided

  • Instruction by college professors with experience teaching in the US academic system and experience leading students through the intricacies of Italian site visits
  • Detailed encounters with the sites from the perspective of history, art, and spirituality
  • Flexible scheduling, with pricing by the hour, by the half-day, by the day, or by the week
  • Possibility of constructing a course that may be accepted for college credit


  • In general, scholarly visits are priced at 100 euro per hour for groups up to five persons. Price quotations for more extensive visits and larger groups are provided upon request.
  • Cost includes the engagement with the professor for the time agreed upon
  • Entrance fees must be paid in addition, including the entrance fee of the professor, where required

Services not provided

Participants will receive an enriching engagement. However, there are some services, often associated with tour guides, that we are not able to provide. These include:

  • Transportation to and from the site and directions, other then the specific location of the meeting point
  • Entrance fees
  • Medical or other personal care assistance
  • Translation or other assistance with anything not directly involved with the academic presentation (for example, gift shops, taxis, and the like)
